Priceline 50% Off Makeup Sale Haul

Last week Priceline had their huge 50% off cosmetics sale so I put a list together and got there at 5 to 9, ready for the madness. It was definitely mad, the makeup aisle filled up so fast, but with the list on my phone I just went straight for the things I knew I wanted. Once it was all in my basket, I spent some time browsing around everything else to see if there were any extra things I could snap up while I was there.

It was probably my funniest experience at a Priceline sale. The manager was running around the whole time picking up random items off the ground that people were dropping. At one point he found a skirt (with a tag attached) and called out “has anyone dropped their skirt?!” and everyone started laughing. One old lady was like “well mine is still on!” πŸ™‚

I ended up going back later in the day to grab a few more things (two skincare items as well). Pretty much all of these products are re-purchases, things I’ve used up in the past year or two and wanted more of, plus a couple of new things to try. The only products I couldn’t find were my favourite Covergirl concealer in light, the Essence matte blush and a Maybelline Superstay polish in Rose Poudre.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless

Shade: 110 Porcelain

This is my all-time favourite drugstore foundation, for the shade and the formula. It’s the best pale foundation I’ve found, as the colour is very neutral and it’s actually light. A lot of pale foundation shades from other brands are either very pink, or just not light enough. I love a matte foundation on my skin, as it doesn’t slip around and lasts longer than a dewy foundation. It’s a better base to apply powders on top of and I can always add glow with highlighter.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Shade: Fair

It has been so long since I last had this concealer, but I remembered it was one of my favourites from back when I started getting into makeup, so I thought I’d try it again. Unfortunately it’s nowhere near as light as I remember it being, comparing it below to Maybelline’s Master Conceal in Fair, Fit Me foundation and Covergirl’s Ready Set Gorgeous concealer in Light. It will be great to colour correct under my eyes, but I’d have to put it on under my foundation as it doesn’t match up at all.

Australis Fresh & Flawless Powder

Shade: Natural

I bought two of these, as it really is the best powder and I seem to keep going through them every year. I like to keep one in my makeup drawer and one in my bag at all times. Recently I bought the lightest shade of this powder to try and surprisingly it’s too light for me, it left me looking a little ghostly so I’ve barely used it. The shade Natural looks a lot better over my light foundations.

Essence Eyebrow Designer

Shade: Brown

I’m pretty sure I bought this pencil at the last Priceline sale and since then I used it all up. It’s the easiest little thing to use when I want to do my brows really fast, or for when I’m travelling (it takes up no space at all). The colour is great and the formula is easy to blend and smudge into the front part of your brow.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Despite the amount of mascaras I have in my drawer to test out, I had to buy this one again. I ran out of this mascara last year and even though I’ve found other mascaras I love, I have missed this one’s presence a little bit.

Essence I Love Extreme Mascara

I picked this one up as I’ve heard people rave about it over the last few years so thought I should give it a go (it’s so affordable as well).

You have to try it – it’s so good! I was really surprised. You have to keep building it up to get to the level of volume you want which takes a minute, but it really does get to the extreme. Its lengthening as well, an all round great mascara worth trying.

Maybelline Baby Lips

Shade: Anti Oxidant Berry

This is my favourite lip balm, I went through the last one I had easily. It’s super moisturising, doesn’t have colour so I don’t have to worry about the application of it, really affordable and now I wish I had bought a couple.

Savvy Nourishing Lip Liner

Shade: Rose

Another super affordable product, I think this ended up being a dollar or two. I love filling in my lips with liners in these types of colours, then applying lipstick over the top. So even if the liptick fades, I’ve still got colour underneath.

Maybelline Blushed Nudes Lipstick

Shade: 207 Pink Fling

I grabbed this lipstick as the colour looked really nice and I am a big fan of Maybelline lipsticks. I have several of their lipstick collections taking up my lipstick holder, however I haven’t tried any of the Blushed Nudes range before. This colour looked the best to me, it’s a medium rosy pink. Really pretty.

NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick

Shades: Lace Detail and Push Up

At the last Priceline sale I got the NYX Lip Lingerie in the shade Embellishment and for such a unique colour, I’ve really loved it. It’s a liquid lipstick formula I actually find comfortable to wear (some can be so hit and miss). So I watched a few swatch videos and decided these two colours seemed the nicest. I really like Lace Detail the most – it’s a bit lighter than Push Up and a really nice nude.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

Shade: Mauve-olous

When I couldn’t find the Maybelline polish I had on my list, I had a look at the Sally Hansen colours as it’s another nail brand I love. I found this colour, which is like a pretty English rose type of shade. I wouldn’t consider it mauve, it’s more of a muted pink. If you’re looking for nail polishes that will last throughout the week without chipping (even without the top coat on) – try these.

So that’s everything I managed to get at the sale!

Thank you
